The object of the forum is to promote the welfare of all Senior Citizens in Dumfries and Galloway by:

• Bringing together representation of statutory and voluntary organisations and individuals, to identify the needs of Senior Citizens.
• Making representations on behalf of Senior Citizens.
• Making available information to, for and on behalf of Senior Citizens.
• Encouraging training for those working with Senior Citizens.
• Promoting and aiding appropriate services.
• Establishing Local Branches when and where considered necessary with such powers as may be considered appropriate.

• Organisations for Senior Citizens may become members of The Forum on the payment of an annual subscription of £5.00 and be entitled to two votes.
• Individual Senior Citizens may become a member of The Forum on the payment of an annual subscription of 50p.
