The purpose of the group is
to identify and suggest ways
of remedying areas of large scale,
unmet need in the town. The task of
the Forum is to identify and
campaign for these to be taken
forward into concrete plans of
funding bids.

bring together organisations
with a shared interest and concern
for the welfare of older people.

For groups
working with older people to find
out what others are doing, to
hear about their problems and
learn from their experiences.

consider action to address
issues of concern

discuss policies and plans of
relevance to the Forum

ensure that the interests of
older people are considered in all
types of planning

provide a means of consultation

To
provide a line of communication
between statutory bodies and the
voluntary sector.
