Welcome
 The
Highland Senior Citizens' Network was
established in 1995 against a background of
reducing resources and a perception that the
quality of life was in danger of deteriorating
for older people.
The Highland Senior Citizens' Network rapidly
achieved a high profile with its campaign
recognised by both the statutory authorities and
the media as the authentic voice of the Highland
senior citizens.
Issues that have been tackled:
- council residential home closures
- charges for community care services
- petrol prices
- village shops
- concessionary travel
- cold weather payments
- care and repair cutbacks
- swimming pool charges
- wheelie bins
- central heating
