Peanuts for Pensioners

  • The generation insulted by a 75p increase in the Basic State Pension.

  • The generation treated as second-class citizens.

  • The generation discriminated against.

  • The generation disregarded.

  • The generation regarded as an economic liability.

  • The generation dependent on means-tested handouts.

  • The generation humiliated by young politicians.

  • The generation fortunate to have survived a bloodied century of two World Wars.

  • The generation tolerant enough to have endured extreme poverty and hardship.

  • The generation that paid its dues for over 50 years.

  • The generation that underpins society with a huge population of voluntary carers.

  • The generation that saves Government £billions by its voluntary activities.

  • The generation that saves the Government £billions because it is too proud to beg for benefit entitlements.

  • The generation deceived by the political parties in power.

  • The generation that made great sacrifices to build the infrastructure that all now enjoy.

  • The generation that has been robbed by its own Government to the tune of £26+ per week.

  • The generation that no longer trusts Government's manipulated statistics.

  • The generation that continued to pay for the elderly generation that went before it.

  • The generation that is continuing to fight for decent pensions for future pensioners.

  • The generation foolish enough to tolerate an erosion of the level of Basic State Pension over the past 18 years.

  • The generation angry enough to kick out a sleaze ridden Conservative Government.

  • The generation strong enough with 10.5 million plus votes to overturn a Government that feeds its elderly with peanuts.
